The stay at Green Gables was quite pleasant overall. The room was well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for work. It is conveniently located just a mile from the city center, with a bus stop right outside that made commuting easy. The breakfast offered freshly prepared items, including a hearty selection that catered to diverse tastes, which was a great way to start each day.
Service could be improved, with more attention to detail in customer interactions.

Not the cheapest, but totally worth it
The breakfast was fantastic, served with a real charm that makes you feel at home, you know? I loved how I could just sit in that lovely conservatory after a long day and sip tea while staring at the garden, it was like a breath of fresh air.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive – but still acceptable, given the experience.

Perfectly adequate for visits
We stayed for 3 nights and found the place quite chill. It’s about a 30-min walk to Oxford, which was nice. The room was comfy enough, though the shower could really use an upgrade. The garden area is lovely for some evening time. Breakfast was good too, decent choices and all that.

The property is just a 500-meter stroll to the beautiful Oxford Botanic Garden and about 2 km to the iconic Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, allowing me to easily take in the sights while enjoying leisurely walks through the city, which I absolutely loved during my trip, and the hosts were truly welcoming and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable. We stayed here recently with our family, and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the lovely breakfast options. The hosts were fantastic, helping us figure out local bus routes, making getting into Oxford a breeze. The tea station in our room was a nice touch too.
My kids wished there were more activities for them on-site, as the room setup was a bit cramped for a family stay.

comfortable room but limited dining options
The room was well-appointed with comfortable furniture. The transportation convenience to downtown via taxi was excellent.
Limited options for dining on-site, making us rely on nearby restaurants.

The culinary adventure near Green Gables was a treat! Loved the local dining scene, especially AkiPort's sushi and Deacons Restaurant's cozy offerings—pure bliss! Plus, the room was spacious and tidy, with a comfy bed that made it easy to kick back after exploring.
The exterior looked a bit tired and the room had a musty smell, which wasn’t the best introduction. It was bearable, so I didn’t raise it with the friendly hosts, who were genuinely helpful.
